Tap a tag.
Tagbit does the rest.
Program NFC tags to share Wi-Fi, a contact card, a link or a note, and change what they do any time, without rewriting the tag.
Change, don’t rewrite
Updates reach the tag instantly. Nothing to re-stick.
No app needed to tap
Works in the browser on iPhone and Android.
Locked and private
Lock tags against tampering and hide Wi-Fi behind a PIN.
Write it once. Change it forever.
- 1
Create a tag in the app or the browser
Pick what it does (join Wi-Fi, share a contact card, open a link), or describe it in plain words.
- 2
Write it once, lock it if it’s public
Hold any NFC sticker or card to your phone. Tagbit writes one permanent link, and can lock the tag in the same tap.
- 3
Change what it does, any time
New Wi-Fi password? New menu? Edit the tag from your phone or the web. The sticker stays where it is.
- 4
Anyone can tap it, with or without the app
iPhone and Android open a clean page in the browser. With Tagbit installed, the tag opens straight in the app.
Everything a tag should do.
Change it, don’t rewrite it
Every tag holds one permanent link. What it does lives in your account, so updates reach the tag instantly.
Works without the app
iPhone and Android open a clean page in the browser. With Tagbit installed, the tag opens straight in the app.
PIN protection
Ask for a PIN before a tag shows what it does: ideal for Wi-Fi passwords you only want to share with some people.
Lock against tampering
Lock a tag after writing so nobody can overwrite it with a harmful link. You can still change what it does from Tagbit.
Describe it, don’t configure it
Type “guest Wi-Fi, network Studio, password sunrise” and Tagbit fills in the details for you to check.
Eight kinds of tags
Wi-Fi, contact cards, links, calls, messages, email, map locations and notes.
Where people put Tagbit tags.
Guest Wi-Fi
A sticker by the door or on the router. Guests tap to see the network and copy the password, behind a PIN if you like.
Business card
Tap to save your contact. Change your number or job title later; the card keeps working.
Menus and links
Table stickers that open today’s menu, a booking page or a review link.
Places and info
Point visitors to a location, a phone number or a note with opening hours.
Private, locked
and checked.
A tag in a public place is a tag anyone can tap. Tagbit is designed around that.
Wi-Fi passwords are encrypted before they’re stored.
Lockout after repeated wrong PINs. PINs are stored only as a one-way hash.
Of link a tag can open: https, phone, email and SMS. Nothing else.
Questions, answered.
Which NFC tags work?
Any standard NFC tag that stores NDEF data. NTAG213, NTAG215 and NTAG216 stickers and cards are cheap and widely available, and work well.
Do people need the Tagbit app to use my tags?
No. Tapping opens a page in the phone’s browser on iPhone and Android. People with Tagbit installed get the action in the app instead.
Can I change a tag after I’ve written it?
Yes, that’s the point. The tag stores one permanent link; you change what it does from the app or the web console, and nothing needs rewriting.
What happens to my tags if I change phones?
They belong to your account, not your phone. Sign in on the new phone or on the web and they’re all there.
Can someone copy my tag?
The link on a standard tag can be copied like any link, so treat it like one. Use a PIN for anything private, and lock tags in public places so they can’t be overwritten.

The iPhone and Android apps are in testing. You can create and manage tags in the browser today; writing to a physical tag needs the app.
